Hallo Coke Sound Up Fans!
Zur fünften Coke Sound Up Show gab es mit Good Charlotte in Gelsenkirchen eine fette Portion Punkrock auf die Ohren. Die US-Band um die Madden-Zwillinge Benji und Joel heizten über 2.000 Zuschauern im Gelsenkirchener Amphitheater mit Hits wie "Lifestyle Of The Rich And Famous", "Like It’s Her Birthday" oder "I Just Wanna Live" ordentlich ein.
Der Auftritt der Band war grandios: In vollem Tempo fuhren Good Charlotte mit einem Motorboot vor und enterte direkt von den Planken die Bühne. Später zum Finale hüpften riesige Coke Bälle über die feiernde Crowd – ein sehr cooles Bild! Trotz teils heftigen Regens waren die Fans total aus dem Häuschen: Die Show führte zu ähnlichen Begeisterungsstürmen wie zuvor bei My Chemical Romance in Stuttgart.

One Night Only eröffneten die Coke Sound Up Show mit Hits wie "Just For Tonight", "Say You Don’t Want It" und natürlich der aktuellen Coke Hymne "Can You Feel It". Mittlerweile haben ONO schon eine beachtliche Fanschar versammelt, die durch ganz Deutschland und teilweise auch nach England reist, um ihre Lieblinge zu sehen. Da wächst wirklich Großes heran!
Um 22 Uhr begannen Good Charlotte mit dem obligatorischen Intro von "Cardiology", dem gleichnamigen aktuellen Album. Die Spannung war kaum auszuhalten. Als es dann richtig losging, gab es eine Stunde lang kein Halten mehr. Im Interview lobte Benji die deutschen Fans – sie würden immer am meisten abgehen und seien auch von weniger bekannten Songs total begeistert. Auch One Night Only schwärmten von ihrem Auftritt bei Coke Sound Up und der immer größer werdenden Fancrowd in Deutschland.

Auch dieses Mal konnten wieder etliche Fans hautnah mit ihren Stars zusammen sein. Nicht nur, dass die Maddens bereits tagsüber öfters neben der Bühne standen, um Autogramme zu geben. Auch beim Meet&Greet vor ihrem Auftritt wurde für etliche Mädels ein Traum wahr. Sie durften Good Charlotte knuddeln und zum Autogrammschreiben mit Eddings bewaffnen. Zu guter Letzt hat VIVA-Moderator Jan Köppen bei seinem Scream-Contest mit den Fans dieses Mal besonders laute Gewinner ermittelt, die spontan die Jungs von One Night Only nach der Show Backstage treffen durften.
